Reviews of ‘The Eclectic’
If your sense of humour is like mine, you will roar with laughter at some of these gems. The Eclectic is a collection of poems and short stories that take a gentle but firm poke at reality. For example, the trickle-down effect is examined in a goblet-shaped poem, which correctly identifies the main reason our world is in trouble. One hilarious story tells you exactly what had happened to the Titanic, and why. Or you might be interested in the REAL story of King Arthur. I can recommend the productions of a delightfully twisted mind.

After you read this wonderful collection of stories, poems and dreams, you will be asking this incredibly original deep thinker to put pen to paper (or finger to keyboard) without delay! Fantastic stuff!

Thanks. After a battle with passwords and the Amazon app, I’ve managed to download your book. I will dig out my Kindle now as I has gravitated back to real books 📚.

You could get the Kindle app for your phone. I do all my reading on that now; much as I love ‘proper’ books, I have an eye problem that makes it very difficult for me to read those now :/ And I’m sorry that there’s no print version of ‘The Eclectic’ on offer; the lacklustre sales of the eBook version have convinced me that it wouldn’t be worth sacrificing the trees.
I hope you enjoy my humble efforts!

Crap, I can’t get my phone to log in on amazon to grab your book. Lord Foul’s Bane was my entry point into reading. I even wrote about it’s impact on me for my library newsletter. I’ll try to download this again from my computer tonight.

That first trilogy of The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant was amazing (I cried buckets over the giants). The Second Chronicles was excellent too, but the most recent additions… in a word, meh. I gave up on them after the second book; pure twaddle IMO.
I assume you’re referring to my tribute to those stories, which I included in my book (in order to pad it out!). It’s here on Wibble: Earthfriend – just in case you can’t wait :)
