I always enjoyed my Dad’s rendition of it… he was wont to spout it at least once each time Spring rolled around.
Although I like to think of it as ‘his’ verse, I’m sure he got it from elsewhere. I did try a search to try to discover its origin, but could only find (many!) variations of it. So since I couldn’t find one that was exactly the same as his, I guess one could claim this variant was his :)
A ‘big reveal’? Well, I have to admit that I continue to live in hope that homo fatuus brutus may one day finally realise that it needs to collectively pull its head out of its behind. Maybe this Earth Day? Who knows?

I liked it cause it flowed nicely and rhymed.
Someone said once there’s no such thing as an original idea it’s a previous one expressed differently. You follow what I mean….
