A first for Scientific American: endorsing a political candidate.

These are very, very strange times.

Although Trump and his allies have tried to create obstacles that prevent people from casting ballots safely in November, either by mail or in person, it is crucial that we surmount them and vote. It’s time to move Trump out and elect Biden, who has a record of following the data and being guided by science.

Scientific American

Bobbing Around

“We’ve never backed a presidential candidate in our 175-year history — until now”

This editorial from one of the world’s most respected journals is worth reading.

Regardless of other matters that may influence your vote, and whether you choose to vote at all, please listen to the voice of REASON.

    Just a quibble:
“I’d love to hear what your views are!”
“I’d like to hear your views.”
    All prose is poetry.

Don’t you think ‘love’ beats ‘like’?

Hi Bob! While looking for a different comment from you, I encountered this one again. I’ve had a little think, and agree that this prompt could be more succinct. It was a real struggle to find the setting that let me change it (it had disappeared; it would seem that WordPress’s most recent changes to the administration interface have been inadequately tested), but I did eventually, with the help of a Happiness Engineer.

I’ve gone for a combination of the two: “I’d love to hear your views!”

I woke up this morning with that thought in my head, and chanced upon what I think is an even better comment prompt: “I’d love to hear your thoughts…“. Thank you for making me think! :)

Will he? I am not holding my breath. I doubt he remembers the episode. But do let us know if he does.

OK, I admit that the Democrats should have picked someone a little more sprightly to spearhead their campaign. But the alternative is far, far worse.

        How so?

I am looking at a shitty choice:
A bullshiteer who, however, has not started any new wars.
And an Alz Man Walking who is reputed to be a war hawk, and picked a VP who has egged on the rioters.

I go for the lesser evil. Btw, is there a way to apologize for spewing nonsense one cannot help but spewing because one is not in one’s right mind any more?

        Now I’ll watch the vid.
