Here's something I would like to share without being extra formal because it's perfectly normal, it's true for us all anywhere; I am quite sure you are aware whether or not it's slow or fast there's one thing that can be forecast: and that is that it is not strange to experience lots of change no matter how much time has passed.
Prompt: Three Things Challenge #252: Passed, normal, change
Poetry form: Décima
Clever! Thanks for joining in.

Your bio says you are an astronaut? Tell me more. I’m a big fan of the space program.

Heh. No, no, no: I’m a wannabe astronaut :D

Wannabe! Darn. Not to worry, I don’t think any less of you. ;0)
I’d love to visit one of our upcoming colonies, but I don’t want to have to travel 1,500 miles an hour to leave Earth.

Change for the better, I can go for —
It’s change for change sake that I abhor.
I exclude Mother Nature, who will do what she will….
But we’re not Mother Nature, coloring valley and hill.
We thirst and seek heights, but we’re just Jack and Jill.

Unwarranted change is a demonic curse:
far from making things better, it makes them worse.
I blame the new brooms, those who refuse to see
that what works well for them may not work for me.
It’s true, we may be just Jack and Jill: but still
We oft recognise what lies over that hill.
