The Lorax, by Dr Seuss

With thanks to Dr Bob Rich, for reminding me
That we need to speak up for the truffula trees

“I am The Lorax. I speak for the trees.” One of my favorite Seuss books. Used to read it to my two sons when they were kids.

What do you think of this adaptation of the book?

I haven’t seen it yet. You know how when you come across something that’s perfect? I see the book that say, and I don’t want to be disappointed if they messed it up. What do you think of it?

Well, I haven’t read the book, so I can’t compare the two. This cartoon adaptation is very watchable; I assume it covers the entire book (but I don’t know).

That’s interesting. Maybe neither of us will know of the other.

I guess I’ll just have to get myself a copy of the book :D

I bought the eBook version. It’s rubbish, sadly. Here’s my (2-star) review:

So hard to read, was this tale about thneeds.
I tapped and I peered and I squinted, you see:
The text was too small; far too tiny for me.
If you should read it, I think you’ll agree
That the pictures of truffula trees are pretty
But an eBook this book shouldn’t be :(

I gather from reading other reviews that the eBook is also an abridged version. I think I may have to invest in a proper copy….
