Towel Day 2020: The aftermath

One advantage of celebrating on lockdown is: there’s nothing in the way of clearing up to do afterwards. No dishes and glasses to wash; no carpets or floors to clean; no hung-over hangers-on to roust from their nests behind the settee.

Yesterday did feel like a party to me. I ‘attended’ the reading given by the Towel Day Ambassador, Jessica Kane, dropped in on a number of the other events that went on, and perused the selfies on the @towelday page on facebook of various towel-bearing folk from all across the face of the planet. Speaking of which, here’s mine:

My Hitchhiker’s Guide Trivia Quiz and other related posts got quite a bit of attention, as can be seen from the image on the left here, which shows the ‘top posts’ at the end of the day.

I’ve already completed another trivia quiz for next year’s festivities. It will again be based upon the Primary and Secondary Phases of the radio show, and is scheduled to be posted here — of course that link won’t work just yet, unless you have access to a hyperspatial field generator or an improbability drive.

Here’s to Towel Day 2021!

  1. Planning stuff a year from now? Have you not seen what’s been happening to the world the past couple of months?
