Just for fun…
Lots of other folks (see for instance Writing challenges that spur the creative flow) offer post prompts, so I thought that, just for once, I’d get in on the action!
This coming Monday, the 25th May, is Towel Day. Thousands of fans of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy will be carrying their towels with them wherever they go — which, admittedly, isn’t very far at the moment due to the ongoing coronavirus situation, and because (in the UK) the 25th is a bank holiday most folks can actually wake up and not even have to consider whether, cosmically speaking, it doesn’t matter if they don’t get up to go to work because they don’t have to anyway.
… Where was I? Oh, yes, I was proposing a post prompt, something to help you get those creative juices flowing. So, here it is:
Take those chains off that muse of yours; let your mind run free, unbridled, let it soar majestically into the heavens, up, up, up to the stars and beyond….
Sorry, got a bit carried away, there. OK, what else do I need to say? Umm…
- Tag your post with #towelday.
- No word limit (if you want a 42-word limit, head over to Deb Whittam’s site and take her ’42word’ challenge).
- If you’re tongue-tied at the moment just take a photo of your towel and post that.
- If you want to (and if you don’t, it’s hoopy) you could link back to this page, which should provide a ‘pingback‘ link here that others can follow.
… I think that’s about it. Share and enjoy, and above all: DON’T PANIC.
