Lies, damn lies and climate deniers

Donald (thanks, Donald) pointed me to a highly illuminating post on Dogs of Doubt, entitled The Politics of Climate Warming. Don’t be fooled by the 2007 datestamp in the ‘Frontline’ PBS video documentary that site links to; although this isn’t ‘news,’ the story is just as relevant today as it was five years ago.

To use Donald’s own words:

[The Politics of Climate Warming] offers proof that AGW, government interference and Big Oil involvement are all real. It has some really good reading material and a video documentary by the American with interviews with just about everybody — Hansen, EPA officials many other scientists and politicians — all telling the truth as it is. Even sceptics should see the videos.

While I do agree that ‘sceptics’ should watch the videos, those climate deniers who label themselves as ‘sceptics’ already know the truth; they don’t want, or are ideologically unable, to hear it.

I’ve also recently been pointed (by The Green Word) to a great graphic — below — at which I’ve already seen one blog commenter attempt to wave the pooh-pooh wand. Reality inversion is becoming an art form.

I’m such a nice bloke I might as well point you to another bit of truth from the “dogs of doubt” site, it was posted only a few minutes ago so it’s as fresh as daisys. Good of you to bring up that “Humanity St.” frame, It really does say it all. 🙂
