Piss on you

The original YouTube video that this post contained is, sadly, no longer available. If memory serves, it was about Canadians urinating on idling vehicles. A purely symbolic retaliatory gesture, the message being: “if you’re going to sit in your car while it’s idling, and pollute the air (that I’m breathing) around you in doing so, well, then, you can scarcely object to me pissing on your car, can you?”

I went looking for something to replace it. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find anything equivalent (if you know of something appropriate, please let me know!). I did, however, find this, from which I learnt something new: I had thought that, when waiting in traffic, it was only worth turning the engine off if the delay was going to be a couple of minutes. That’s, apparently, an over-estimate. The true value is a mere seven seconds….

Does idling waste fuel? (will go straight over the heads of those who believe that “the less time I spend travelling from A to B the less fuel will be required” as an excuse to drive at excessive speed….)

When one says a thing, it’s good to know that others have the same idea.

A high-five and a hat tip to Goldie, a member of the ?Random Raiders!, for identifying that this old post had a problem, and alerting me to fix it!

  1. I laughed when the Random Raiding brought me here. Piss on you? Piss on YOU? PISS ON YOU? Really? How rude!

    But, the video is unavailable.

Hehe… and, drat! I do recall that the video was about folks pissing on idling cars — in Canada, if memory serves — in retaliation for the pollution they cause. I’ve had a quick look and can’t locate an alternative with the same message. I’ll have to have a think what to do about this one. Thanks very much for locating the problem!
